Kids

Where to start?

TWINS: Busy bees. They are non-stop. They turn 2 tomorrow. I keep waiting for them to get easier, but it hasn't yet, if anything harder. They are independent, know what they want, and how to get it. Brielle has her big smile, Ashlyn has her sweet voice.

I started to potty train because they seemed interested. I started them together thinking it would be easier. Nothing is easier with twins, why would I think otherwise?! Brielle was the first one to go, Ash was being scared. I asked other twin moms for advice and they thought doing one at a time was best. We bought some cute little pink frog toilets and Elmo potty time, we were set. After a few days of cleaning up accident after accident, decided we'd take a break. Now Brielle isn't really showing an interest and Ashlyn likes to be naked all day. Ashlyn will either say she needs to go pee pee on elmo (toilet seat) or will pee on the frog. If I am not right there to get the pee, she'll bring it to me. I was trying to read on the couch (funny I know) and she was bringing it and tripped on a pillow and woops, the pee went all over me. So fun, I know.

LYDI LOU: Sassy. Big helper. Loud. Her preschool graduation is this Saturday. She will be in kindergarten in the Fall. She acts shy for a minute but once you get her talking, she is a chatter box (wonder where she gets that from)! She loves to play with her cousins, be outside, and be the boss. She is always telling Ethan what and how to do everything. He acts annoyed, but I think he needs the direction sometimes.

ETHAN: Almost 8. He still loves his video games, his new favorite computer games are poptropica and monkey quest. He says when he turns 9, he wants a poptropica party. Umm, okay. For his 8th bday he wanted a diary of a wimpy kid party. We'll see. He is getting baptized on his birthday, June 4th. Pretty cool.

Well, besides going crazy, I am loving being out of school for the summer. It is nice keeping up on laundry and cooking for my man once in a while. The day of my last post (March 11) Jared broke his collar bone. He had broken it once before and it just snapped right where it healed last time. He has a killer scar from his surgery. He took 6 weeks off of work and is now working more than ever. I miss his help around here. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (May 19) with a couples massage. So excited. We want to go to Cabo sometime, just haven't planned it yet. I am doing the UV 1/2 marathon on June 11th. I don't know what I was thinking. Oh well. Something to cross off the bucket list. Well, it is time to run, fun to be lazy and write a blog post. We'll see if I can do it once a week, I can hear you laughing now. Ha ha.

A few December pics!

Lydia will play outside anytime!

"Snoooow!"

Bella Roos

Having fun in the box....

until Belle decides she needs to bite Ash.

Ashlyn just loves hats! We were playing Elefun one day, she thought the butterfly net was a hat.
Watch out for Brielle! She's thinking up her next plan of attack!

Awe. So in love! How did I get so lucky?

My lil' hot cocoa lovers. They would drink hot cocoa in the summer if I'd let them!

We are still alive 3-11-11!

Here is a quick update of our family!

Jared: One word. AMAZING! He is such a hard worker, at work and at home. He picks up the girls from daycare everyday after working, picks up the messes we made in the morning getting ready, and usually takes care of dinner as well. His current "project" is tearing out our bathrooms and putting in tile and new vanity tops. I love that he is always so busy. We all reap the benefits!

Angie: One word. BUSY. Not only physically, but mentally. When I'm not doing homework, I am thinking about it. I am super excited to do 3 weeks of student teaching at Ridgeline Elementary. Then, just 2 weeks of papers and finals and the summer will begin! I can't wait to play with the kids and keep up on "mom" stuff.

Ethan: One word. PAIN. All the sudden Ethan thinks he is the most picked on kid EVER. Maybe being the only boy is wearing on him. It's a hard life I'm sure. He does well in school, and loves to read. He read 160 pgs. of Diary of a Wimpy Kid in one day. He is now working on the DWK Journal, but he calls it a Diary. He even wrote a note and taped it to his journal. "Let's get one thing strate, this is a diary, not a journal." He cracks me up. He especially takes great joy in bugging Lydia. Telling her she has a "boyfriend" and spitting water in her face (but it was an accident). Anyways, I love the fellar.

Lydia: One word. ANGEL. Seriously, do I know this girl? She makes me so happy. She is the first one up everyday and is so independent. I can already tell she is going to be a great mom. If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up, it's a princess, a mom, and a doctor. We'll see if that is still the case when she finds out how much school she has to do. She is so concerned about the well being of her sisters. Anytime Brielle is on the counter, she lets me know with a scream. She cleans her room, reads books to the babies, and is just my little sweetheart. This morning she was asking about a new girl that moved in across the street. I told her the Mom's name and then she said so "the girl" is THE sweetheart! She assumed because I call her sweetheart, that all daughters are sweethearts. Love her.

Ashlyn: SAUCY. She is a little parrot these days. Loves to say "geez dad" and make goofy faces. She is starting to stand up to her "sis, shis" and will occasionally give her a smack when needed. We are so lucky to have this little blessing in our fam.

Brielle: GOOFBALL. She is non-stop. If she isn't on the counter she is busy tearing up something. I love that she has to hold her belly button when she drinks her "baba." She is talking a little bit more, but mostly just smiles her big Belle smile that gets her out of trouble.

November 2010 Recap

Thanksgiving Day at Granny and Grandpa Eyre's.

Ashlyn's new name is "SAUCE" or Saucey. She gets it from eating fries, she has to have sauce to dip it of course.

Ethan and Lydia's big ol' snowman and the baby snowman.

The babies' first time making sugar cookies. They LOVE it. They sat in their high chairs and were memorized by the beaters. They were such big helpers!

One nice November day we met my friend, Corina and her kiddos at the zoo. Lydia had so much fun playing with her new gal pal!

At Mike and Erins the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We had a nice dinner with the bro's and sisters. Michelle with Belle and me with Saucey sauce.

My cousin, Allegra makes the cutest headbands ever. I ordered some from her (see top family picture) and she sent me 2 bonus ones. What the heck! So nice. I am actually just happy that I have them both in the same picture. They are too busy these days to sit for a picture.

My boy. My big grown up boy. Such a nut!

The babies' couldn't get enough of the water globe thing at Hogle zoo. They were in heaven.

I've always thought my youngest brother Elijah was a mini me of Jared. What do you think? Ethan just loves it when Elijah comes over.

Awe. My little Anna Banana. Jared snapped this pic in the backyard one beautiful November Saturday. We were working on her scrapbook for Young Womens in Excellence and we didn't have a picture of the 2 of us. She is such a big help, we love it when "Nanie" comes over.

Watch out. Lydia shooting the guns at Cabela's. She had her preschool field trip there and we made it to the very end of it. I think I'll chalk that trip up to the worst public scene ever with her. I can't even remember the details now, which is probably good.

October 2010 Recap!

For some reason a few of the pics from Halloween didn't show up so I just readded them! "The things that make ya go hum!"
There's my cute Grandma and Grandpa Hood (my moms parents) with our kiddos. They just love to see all the kids on Halloween, she even gives out yummy chocolate and caramels!

Ha ha. A front view of the little bugs with their Granny and Grandpa "Grape."
(Jared's moms parents). It was fun to visit with them, they are so kind and generous. They gave the kids big candy bars which my thighs enjoyed so much!!

Some of the Chatterton Clan before we went to Mimi's for some lunch and to visit my Michellee Bellee!
