Gingerbread House Decorating

Costco made the gingerbread house such a delight. This year even the house was all glued together. Simple, easy, very little mess, fun for the kids... that is what I'm talking about. Ethan and Lydia took charge and had a blast decorating. Ashlyn and Brielle were just trying to sneak as much candy as they could.

They did the tree and their gingerbread men all by themselves.

Ash eating a treat.

Geez Mom! Just trying to sneak a "teat." She sure has a big, beautiful smile.

The finished project. We ended up having to throw the house away after a week or so, sad news. The fence slowly disappeared as did any piece of frosting hanging. Any time it was just too quiet in the house, you'd find Ash and Belle sitting on the counter picking off candy. Silly girls.

Thankful for November

Thankful for our Kooky son, always so loving and patient with his sisters.

We had birds that nested in the tree outside of Lydia's window. Jared had a hard time getting it out of the tree when he was putting the Christmas lights on. We enjoyed watching the baby birds eat from their Mama!

A nice Fall day playing in the leaves.

Thanksgiving day feast!

Lydia and Josh.

The wonderful host and hostess.

Hanging out right before Ethan barfed all over. At least he made it over the banister and not on the dinner table. Poor kid slept right through Thanksgiving day.

One of the beautiful fall sunsets. Taken from our front yard!

The bath loving girls. They are so funny in the bath. They put the bubbles on their chin and say, "Look at me, I'm Santa, ho ho ho!" They also love to slide down the back and splash water all over the floor. They are little giggle monsters.

In the month of November, we made 6 pumpkin rolls. The recipe says to beat the eggs for 5 minutes so we all have plenty of turns!

Notice Ashlyn's pretty dress. That was Anna's flower girl dress at our wedding. Such great memories. Ash always has to have her blue apron on. Sis sis usually gets red, this day she had none!

Halloween 2011

Thank you Amy for letting me steal this from your blog! Most of the cohort dressed up for Halloween day. We have a lot of fun learning together!

Jake and Aspen were in town a few weeks before Halloween so we had a fun party a few weeks prior. Ethan was a pea-shooter from Plants vs. Zombies. The cousins always play so good together.

The night before Halloween, Fran and Todd surprised us with their Mario and Luigi costumes. Simply HILARIOUS!

Isn't Granny's mask freaky? It gets me every time. The funniest thing of the night was when Granny said, "I knew that Jared wouldn't dress up." Ha ha. We were dressed like butt-rockers going to a concert!

Rock on!

Oh Saucy sauce. The girls had all of Lydia's old costumes to choose from plus these crayons I bought after Halloween the year before and they chose the crayons. Super easy and cute.

Me and my lovely Grandma. We always stop by so the kids can trick or treat. She always has candy bars and cookies for the kids. They look forward to playing with her wooden blocks.

Boo! Happy Halloween.

The part zombie, part pirate, part skeleton, part vampire and the little mermaid lovin' girl, off to the school Halloween parade.

Ashlyn was too scared to be in the picture with the life size super hero. Our kids love to play with the Mitchell kids across the street.

Brielle the RED crayon! She is super easy going and just goes with the flow. Ashlyn is more specific. Ash always wants the pink sippie cup and wanted the YELLOW crayon costume. "No biggie," thinks Belle.

Deer Hunt

Levi, Matt, Jared, and Ethan deer hunting in Levan.

Ethan and the sheep dog. You'll have to ask the deer hunters the story behind the dog. Pretty funny.

Hardy har. Grandpa Todd putting antlers on Ethan's head!

Ethan and Jared hiking on Mt. Mahogany the 2nd weekend of the deer hunt.

Say CHEESE! Love this kid.

Before they headed out. I love that they have one on one time. They are the best of friends.

Never a dull moment in October!

Ethan and Lydia enjoying their soup.

SCARY! Brielle loves to sneak into my make-up. This was a few weeks before Halloween but Ethan requested that I do his make-up just like Belle's!!

Trying to mix up spelling practice to make it more fun. My friend found these ABC crackers at Winco. In case you were wondering, he is spelling PENKNIFE!

The girls trying on their winter coats that they've only worn once (in Bear Lake this past weekend) and it is January 5! ...No, I'm not complaining!

Vroom vroom. Daddy's future riders!

Here we are again. Yes, Brielle did ruin my brand new Mac lipstick. Inside I was mad but I had to remember some good advice from a fellow Mom friend; to just take a picture and laugh about it. After all, look how proud she is of herself!

My sweetheart, Lydi bug, took this picture. Her and the twins love to pick out my clothes. They usually pick my "zebra" shirt (black and white stripes).

Ethan is really into being the funny guy! He has a prank book and likes to try pranks on Lydia. When he was at school the other day, Lydia was flipping through his prank book seeing what she could do to him! Love these little rascals of ours.

Oh Bella Blue. Plum tuckered out in her undies and rain boots!

Ethan getting a little crazy at the pumpkin patch. I couldn't believe that the big pumpkin pictured was marked $30. Really?... Really?

My scooter loving girl. This girl is crazy for her "scootoe." She will ride it around the big block (3.5 miles) while I push the twins in my ghetto jogging stroller. ...See below!

Yes, the straps are worn off and the remnants of the straps stain their clothes so I have to put an old towel down underneath. Also, a few years ago, I accidentally hit the front wheel pulling into the garage so I spend most of the run trying to balance the alignment leading to unnecessary back pain! I've had this stroller since having Ethan so it's lasted 8 solid years. After much debate, I broke down and bought a new stroller from Amazon today. YAY!

We found some fun hats at DI. The girls love hats, shoes, changing their clothes 10 times a day. They are goofballs.

Nakey Ash licking the cake bowl clean.

Duck hunting and Cornbelly's

Ethan is loving the duck hunting with his Dad and Grandpa!

Our favorite of the year. Love this boy.

Ethan and Elijah at Cornbelly's. Ethan told me all he wanted for Christmas was a brother. I told him the closest thing to a brother he'll ever have is his uncle Elijah!

These cars were the absolute hit of the night. Jared and I even raced each other with Ashlyn and Brielle on our laps.

Not the best picture but we had to get one with little Ashlyn in her very own cow car!
