Geez Louise

First of all, I love this picture because Ashlyn is clobbering Brielle for once. It is usually the other way around. Brielle has bullying tendancies like biting, pinching, poking, head bonking, pulling hair, etc. I was excited to catch this on camera for Ash's sake, finally getting a little revenge on her sister!!

All right Mom, I HATE THIS COSTUME! Get it off NOW! -Brielle-

No seriously Mom, what Belle said, THIS SNIFFS! -Ashlyn-

Alright, life is good, I can walk around in my oobee slippers. The girls are seriously obsessed with shoes. Especially dirty ones. The first thing they go to play with each day is the shoe basket, they love to chew on them, drag them around the house, and now they love to stomp around in their shoes.

Oooh la la. A new pair of shoes to stomp around in. Ash finds Anna's church shoes to stomp around in. They are so funny with their shoes. When I say it is time to put their shoes on, they hurry over to sit on the stairs for me to put them on. I guess it is never too early to have a love for shoes! It is seriously a new adventure every minute with these girlies.

Miss Sass a Frass Lydia Jean!

Our mini get away to Snowbird. Loved every minute of it!

Lydia pulling faces making her sisters chuckle! She is too cute with them.

Ethan taking off his crazy socks after Sock it to Drugs Day at school! He's just "too embarrassed" to take a picture with them on!

The happy girlies. I don't know what we'll do when it's too cold to play outside. They try to sneak out the door any chance they get!

Lydia had her first Primary Program yesterday. She sang the songs so well. We didn't make it to the Practice on Saturday and I had no idea what her part was but in the microphone it sounded like "I can tie my shoes." I asked her teacher afterwards and her part was "I can tell the truth." So, kinda close!

Ethan went Deer Hunting with Jared and his family over the weekend. They had a lot of fun. Here are just a few of his comments that stick out to me!
Me: Did you eat good food?
Ethan: Yes, I ate Beef Soup, but I didn't eat all of it, just the beef and the carrots. But my favorite meal was the Steak that Grandpa made. It was so SAUCY!

I think it was a good break for Ethan and Lydia, they usually get along so well but have been bickering with each other lately. They just played and laughed the whole night. Here is some of their conversation:

Lydia: Ethan, do you want to see the fort I made?
Ethan: I am very impressed Lydia. I can help you make it bigger indeed.

Ashlyn has the cutest run, she books it when you say "Baba night night!" Her favorite words are horse & bobby. She said spooky once but now when I tell her to say it she just laughs! She will give Brielle pats on the head when she cries. It is so sweet.

Brielle is into everything, she loves to reach up on her tippie toes and grab anything she can. She also has a shoe fettish, along with Ash. They love to scamper around in everyone elses shoes. Brielle also likes to inflict pain, she is a biter and a pincher, when you say OW she just laughs.
I am seriously the happiest mom, I am so thankful for my family. I hate to say it because I'm probably jinxing myself, but the twins are finally getting a little easier. They are really good friends and laugh and babble on and on to each other. I hope it stays that way. Lydia always makes them laugh by being her kooky self. Ethan amazes me how kind hearted he is and always knows how to make my day. I missed Jared so much when he was gone for 3 days and 2 nights! I don't think I could've done it another day, so glad they came home early! He is so hands on with the kids and is a better housekeeper than I am! Lydia and I had a lot of fun making crafts and playing with cousins Sage, Kira, Damen, Vincent, Anna, Elijah, and Gma Jean.

Saved as a Draft?

Well this is kind of a random post because these pictures were from end of April, first of May, I must have uploaded my pictures and then forgot about them and then the computer shut down and voila, just found them 4 months later as a draft post! So although these pictures are older, they are still cute! They played in this laundry basket for quite a while. Isn't it amazing how much fun you can have in a basket or a box? They were content for so long then I took them on a ride around the kitchen which was super fun!

I have to admit, I splurged on these cute shoes at Journeys Kids. What can I say, I am a sucker for shoes. I put them on to take a few pics and they really didn't care for them, not to mention the red marks they left on their feet after wearing them for 10 minutes. I ended up returning them and getting my $50 back. My favorite shoes for them have been the Pedipeds. They are so comfy and whenever I say "SHOES" they run and sit on the stairs to put them on. They might love their shoes as much as I love mine!!

Brielle just loves her Bolt dog.

Ashlyn was happy with whatever she just ate! She had 6 teeth by the time she was 6 months. Crazy kid.

Brielle Mae

These were taken back in April, I love the soft look she has on her face. She is my little mini me in more ways than one! She loves everyone, all the kids at the bus stop, she likes to point her finger at people and she'll laugh if you touch it back with your finger. She loves to play with her brother and sisters. She will bring me a tutu to put on her so she can dance. She is a total riot.

One of my faves, can't get enough of her chubby little features. She's got a smile and laugh thats bigger than her cry (and that is hard to beat)!

Jareds' nickname for her his "Hoolley" or "Hoolley Boolley." This picture kind of explains what a hoolley is... kinda goofy and sporatic I suppose. If you stick out your tongue at her, she will stick hers in and out, in and out all crazy. Total goofball material!

She is hands down the more sleepy sister. She loves nap and bedtime. She'll sometimes hump her sheet when I lay her down. I was too slow cleaning up lunch one day so she just got comfy in her high chair. I couldn't resist a picture!

You know the cry I was talking about above.. insert a big loud one right here! I can't remember what I took away but it really made her scream and I thought it was funny. She can't function without something in her mouth, preferably something really dirty and small: rocks, rhinestones off of my shirts/hats, Jared's work shoes, dirt, my little pet shop animals, pretty much anything and everything! Last Saturday Jared and I noticed a silver thing in her upper palate right next to her front tooth. Our first thoughts was that it was a cavity but it wasn't in the tooth, more in the gums. I freaked out to say the least and luckily we have a pediatric dentist in our ward, who is AWESOME to say the least (Jared Pearson) so I called him and he told me to come right over. He used his little tool they use to scrape in between your teeth and your gums, kind of a pick looking tool and got it right out. It was a tiny rhinestone she had stuck in her mouth. Eeks. He didn't think it had caused too much pain because it wasn't infected around the area yet so it was probably just in there a few days. Phewie.

Let's see, a little stick in one hand and some dirty rocks in the other. Now that she walks she thinks she is pretty cool. She smiles and laughs and runs and plays and thinks she is a big person. It is such a joy to be her mom and watch her grow. I love my Briellee Belley.

Oh, this picture makes me cry just looking at it. It makes me so sad. One night while I was at dinner with my friends, Jared was watching the kids in the backyard. We had 2 springer spaniels, Bolt and Molly Jo. Molly was eating and Belle crawled up to her and she snapped and bit Brielle. It made her lip bleed, but I was really impressed with how fast it healed. This was the next day when I was coming home from the pediatrician. He put her on a strong dose of amoxicillan just in case she got an infection. Molly was put to sleep, so now we are back to just one dog. Brielle still just loves animals. She will just go lay, hug, and squeeze them. She will let Bolt lick her and she will try and kiss him. I think there are many benefits to having pets, I just hope nothing like this EVER happens again.

I Love my Jared!

Right before we left for the Dave Matthews Band concert. We had fun hanging out with Joseph, my little brother (whose not so little anymore!), and Becca and Levi. Thanks Grannie Frannie for watching the kiddos, we had a blast!
Oh Jared. You are so handsome. I am so in love with you. You make me laugh so hard and I love your sense of humor. I appreciate all the sacrifices you make on my behalf. You are hard working at home, at work, and at play! I love the way you interact with our kids, teaching them, loving them, and most importantly playing with them. You truly are one of a kind and I feel so blessed to be your wife.

Up Logan Canyon for the Tarbet reunion, Lydia will never pass up a motorcycle ride with her Daddy!

Blue Eyed Babies

Having fun on the tramp. Bella Blue is a little giggle monster.

Ash a roo just as happy as can be.

The kiddos went to Lake Powell for 5 days with their Grannie and Grandpa and lots of family from the Eyre side. (Thanks Katie for driving LJ down) As fun as it would have been, we decided to wait until the twins were a little older to go. This pic was taken the morning of them leaving. We got so much done while they were gone, the house was almost too quiet, and of course I missed them like CrAzY! They are lucky kiddos for sure.

I love these glasses. She looks so sassy in them, oh wait, she IS a little sass!

What a stud. Love this dude.

Trampoline Fun... sort of!!

So, we went up to my brothers house and he had dug a trampoline hole. It was so nice for the babies, they love to jump but couldn't unless both of us were there to make sure they didn't fall. Jared decided he was going to dig a hole. Turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated!

Day 1: Dug out the grass for a 14 ft circle. Ethan was so funny, he always wanted to help, right when Jared would get home from work, he would say, "Come on Dad, lets go dig." One morning he got up before anyone (which NEVER happens) and was outside digging.

I don't think Jared would have ever finished if Mike didn't come help. I called him to ask a few questions about it and he said he didn't have anything going on and would come help dig. Son nice, thanks Mike! They got at least half of it done that day.

The next weekend my Dad stopped by to see the kiddos and we showed him what was going on out back. He helped for quite a while. Thanks Dad, hope you weren't too sore! As for me, I was lounging in the chair reading a book and entertaining babies! Fun stuff.

Just about done there. What a man. We have enjoyed jumping on it, although I don't think you get as high of a jump. Maybe not, maybe it just feels that way because we are down lower. We have loved it, thanks babe, you were sure fun to watch work!

Vroom!

Ethan has been practicing in the back yard and in the field behind our house. Jared has told him when he gets good enough, he would take him out West to ride. So here is the fellar, on his first "real" ride of the summer.

The 2 most important boys in my life. I love how safe Jared is with all the kids. He has been hurt one too many times and is so good at taking precautions!

Proving to Dad what a stud of a rider he is!!

Dad getting ready to take Brielle for a ride. She threw a fit when her turn was over. Oh my.

Ashlyn's turn! She love it.

For Fathers Day we made a little craft for Dad, the kids made frames and put pictures of them with Jared. I couldn't find a pic of Lydia and Jared for the life of me, I have tons of me and LJ and tons of Jared and Ethan so I am trying to mix it up and take more pics of them together!

June 2010

Ethan on our ward float. Our neighbor did an awesome job building the pirate ship. It took 2nd place! The kids were so excited to be in a parade! Fun stuff.

I got out the Halloween tote of costumes, so Lydia had fun dressing up as Tinkerbell, a Lady bug and a Pirate! She seriously cracks me up.

The sisters had fun throwing anything, including water bottles OUT of the wagon, tearing and eating the "water" and wondered what the heck this parade business was all about!

Yes, those are MY crazy brothers sporting those speedos. We had a family swim party up at Mike and Erins and they decided to surprise everyone with a little "somethin, somethin!"
Pretty funny.

For Fathers Day we went on a hike up AF canyon. It was fun. Will we do it again? No.

Happy Fathers Day to my awesome hubby, his dad, and brother. What great dads they all are.

Love the mountains and LOVE those kiddos.

31 Things

I feel like I am so blessed for everything in my life; my sweetheart of a husband, my beautiful, healthy kids, and for relationships with all my friends and family. Here are 31 random things that you may or may not know about me on my 31st birthday!
  1. I am the 2nd oldest of a blended family of 14 kids. My mom and dad had 8, then divorced. My mom married David who had 1, then they had 4 more. My dad married Stacy and had 1 so 8+1+4+1=14!

  2. I am pretty unorganized (mostly in my scrapbook room) but I know where everything is!!

  3. My favorite room to clean is the bathrooms because it is so sparkly when you are done.

  4. I always wanted to be a cheerleader in highschool but never tried out because I didn't know how to dance and was scared of not making the cut and the rejection!

  5. I never thought in a million years that we would have twins. It never crossed my mind that it was even a possiblility. I thought you had to take fertility drugs or have a history of twins to get them. Needless to say, it has been one of the hardest and funnest years of my life. I have definitely lowered my expectations of a clean house and really learned to enjoy and appreciate the simple things.

  6. I love getting pedicures. I would love to splurge and get one every month but it never works out that way. I just had one the other day (the last time was in February) and I can't stop looking at my feet!! Love it.

  7. I love to scrapbook but never have time to do it for myself. I am always working on a project for someone else, which I love too! I have TONS 0f pages made up with NO pictures on them. One of my many goals this year is to actually put the pictures on the pages and get my kids scrapbooks up to date.

  8. Holy smokes, I am only on #8, this is going to be a long post! It is no secret that I love to talk!

  9. I don't really like to cook but...

  10. I LOVE to bake!

  11. I love when there is no TV on in the house. I have never been a big TV watcher and the sounds of it on just drive me nuts. (especially when no one is watching it!) That said, I do like to watch American Idol (we'll see if I am still a fan with Simon gone) and just got into Dancing with the Stars this past season.

  12. I borrow clothes from my mother in law. I love how stylish she is and she always has the perfect accessories for any outfit.

  13. I don't enjoy running but I have always wanted the nice trim, perfectly tone runner legs so I occasionally try to run for that reason only!

  14. I love helping out at the school and can't wait until I am a teacher.

  15. I miss working at Costco. But, I shop there enough to make up for it!

  16. I love being a part of the LDS church and the peace it brings me in my life. I especially love Relief Society. I have the best calling EVER... Activity Days Leader!

  17. I love that my husband gives me today off of changing diapers, well today and Mothers Day that is... love that man, he just bathed Brielle after a serious blow out!

  18. I love eating popcorn with a big glass of milk. YUM.

  19. I had shock therapy for depression 5 yrs ago. I am so thankful for great doctors!

  20. I just asked Ethan if there is anything about me that most people don't know and he said this: "That you know a lot of tricks about math and that you are a teacher, a Stampin' Up teacher." Seriously, love that kid.

  21. I really like music, my favorite bands are probably Green Day and Dave Matthews Band. I also love Celine Dion but Jared can't stand it so I never listen to her anymore!! I think I just might today since it is my bday and all! (And have you heard, Celine is expecting twins with her outrageously old husband? Go Celine!)

  22. My favorite vacation spots are: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (we are saving up for our 10 yr!), Bear Lake and Lake Powell.

  23. I appreciate college and pro sports. Don't know much about them but always got a kick out of my Dads love for them. Watch out when his team was behind! I will always be a Utah Jazz fan but am still in denial that Korver is gone, now who is going to be our 3 pt shooter? I wish they could just win a playoff so Jerry Sloan can retire.

  24. I started working when I was 14 at Rocky Mountain Drive Inn because my friend, Susans' parents owned it. (I think I made 3.50-$4 an hour) When I was 15, I worked at Albertsons (making a whopping $4.25/hr) as a food sampler and at Central Park (a burger joint across the street from Provo High). Man, minimum wage has improved a lot in 17 years! Other jobs: Comp USA, a Mexican restaraunt, Integrated Technologies, House Cleaner, Costco, hmm, I think that is it. I guess you can't really call being a Stampin' Up demonstrator a job, that would be more of a hobby!

  25. I bought my first car, a white Ford Escort from my brother, Mike. I thought is was the most pimpin' car around! It was stick shift, had a bra on it, a bike rack, and can't forget the blue pin stripe down the side.

  26. I am not scared of getting old, just scared of looking old!
  27. Some of my favorite childhood memories are when me and my brothers and sisters would ride our bikes to the Texaco to buy penny candies, fight over who got to ride in the trunk of my moms red car (it was usually me and Mike, so illegal, I can't believe she let us!), and all the fun road trips to Star Valley and St. George. I just love my brothers and sisters!
  28. Okay this is getting really hard, 3 more things, then I NEED to shower before my birthday is over!! ... When I was pregnant with Ethan, I ate a Peanut butter & jelly sandwich religiously every day for lunch.
  29. Fran (my awesome MIL) was the first person to find out I was pregnant with Lydia. I had some blood work done at her work because I wasn't feeling well, they were checking on my thyroid levels. She called and told Jared, so I was the 3rd person to find out! What a total shocker. At my first doctor appt, (16 weeks) they told me she was a girl. She is such an angel, so glad we have her free spirit to keep us on our toes!
  30. Jared and I carved our names in a tree in Maple Canyon for my 19th birthday. I think that was about the time we started dating "exclusively!" I am so happy. I couldn't imagine ME without HIM.
  31. I am so happy to be done with this. Guess I will chalk this whole post to a journal entry, since I have been slacking in the journal writing department.

Have a fabulous day, did you know you get a free slurpee at 7-11 today?!

BeAr LaKe FuN!

I am slightly behind in the blogging world. But, now that school is out, I am hoping to catch up! Here are some of my faves from Bear Lake last month.
Lydia loves any chance she can get Jared to take her on a ride. And the fellar, well, his smile says it all!

There's the Asher Roos on her FIRST swing ride! I have been avoiding the swings for so long, but finally caved in!!

The Ethan boy with his Grandpa. They are 2 of a kind, so thoughtful, friendly, and easy to be around.

The whole fam. (minus Austen, he'll be home from Cambodia in October.) Such a fun family, so happy to be a part of it. Love them!

The Bella Roos always has something in her mouth; dirt, rocks, water bottle lids, elastics, pretty much anything and everything. I love her little bikini!

I just love my little family. We had such a blast hanging out. Bear Lake has got to be one of my favorite vacation spots for sure.

Lydia, Abby and Nixon watching the boys hit golf balls into the water. LOVE it!

Awe. Love this. I am amazed by the love Jared has for his little girls.

Fran and Katie watched all the kiddos while we went on a motorcycle ride. It was the first time I have ever gone and it was a blast. Now I want to learn how to ride! Someday right?

How I love these girlies. Seriously, can't get enough of them. They are contagious.

I love this picture of all the grandkids with Todd and Fran. They are the best grandparents a kid could ask for.

Ha ha. This pic cracks me up. Lovin' the brotherly love!

There's my little water babe. She justs loves to swim. Who would have ever known, she was afraid of the water as a baby up until she was about 2.

Ethan wanted an American birthday party, and an American flag cake. I hope I didn't disappoint by getting a Costco red velvet cake and decorating it with red, white, and blue! He celebrated his 7th birthday the first day we were there. He is such a happy, sweet boy. He is so curious about everything these days, soaking up all sorts of information.

Enjoying a nice little summer sprinkle. Ethan is showing off his new Wii game that he is currently obsessed with (Super Mario Galaxy 2). I just love how everyone looks so happy!
